Another from the Some Odd Girl’s recent clear stamp release was Music Mae. They’d teased it on the blog what seemed like ages
Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here to offer up some adorable inspiration! For these projects I was inspired by my new kitten, Lupin, and his big brother, Asher. I’ve been working on introducing a very cute kitten to a very spoiled only child, so they were definitely influencing my crafting this week. The obvious choice then was to pull out the Clever Kitties clear stamps and get to work!
I used the same Thank Mew sentiment from the set on all the cards, as well as the same die set, which meant creating a couple of cute cards quickly, which is sometimes pretty important! I stamped all the kitties on water color paper and colored them in Distress Inks to give them a playful water color feel. The first card is actually an orange tabby, which I don’t have, but have always wanted. There is just something about a ginger kitty that has always appealed to me.
The second card was based on my oldest kitty, Asher. He’s just over seven years old and is a bit of a spoiled brat and super cuddle bug. I was a little afraid of how introducing a kitten would affect my older kitty, but so far Asher has been okay. They aren’t BFF’s yet, but I actually feel confident that one day they’ll be buds.
Last but not least is the new kitten, Lupin. He’s at least part siamese, and has those super fun darker markings on his face, feet and tail. I love him and for a kitten he’s pretty zen, but he’s still a kitten. So he’s also a handful! I thought the meowing kitty was the perfect fit.
I hope you enjoyed my inspiration post today and loved the Clever Kitty cards and photos! Come back tomorrow for some more Odd Fun!
