We are lucky enough to be pairing up this week with Perfect Layers! If you’re not already familiar with Perfect Paper Crafting, you
Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with a fun watercolor tutorial! I’m mildly obsessed with watercoloring lately, and what better way to funnel my obsession than through Some Odd Girl? I haven’t broken down and ordered any legit watercolors yet, so I use Distress Inks…because I already have them….lol.
I started with flowers from the Miss You Mae clear set, stamping them in pink and purple ink and overlapping and turning them around the page. I followed using the flowers from the Believe stamp set, stamping in Versamark and embossing in clear, giving all the flowers a nice crisp outline.
I followed this step by inking various pink Distress Inks into the openings of the flowers, letting it bleed and flow past the edges.
I went over it until I was happy with the coloring and then added my sentiment from the Romantic Gwen set and a few smaller flowers stamped in gold over the entire image.
A couple sequins and BAM! Card! I love the flower combo and all the pinks and how it’s both soft and bright at the same time! I’m determined to make this water color week, so show me your Odd Watercolor projects over on the Facebook community or share them on our Pinterest page! Hope to see you there!
