And the adorable releases continue! I’m happy to still be here to bring you some inspiration from one of my favorite stamp artists
Good morning, Oddies! Alexis here with a peek inside my Odd space!
I’ve got a lot crammed into this room where I get my Odd on, so I’m going to give you a little tour! I have two stations in my studio and some storage space for all of my hoardings. The First station is my coloring station. This is where I do my Copic work , choose papers and assemble my cards. I’ve got my Silhouette cutter on this desk and my Minc foil machine and this is also where I set up my laptop to work on, well, this blog post. HA! Behind this desk is a great storage cabinet filled with goodies and on top, my printer and all my 12×12 paper. On the walls are some of my favorite art piece inspirations (including a little print from THE Odd Girl herself. It’s mostly fandom themed, and you can see some snippets of Game of Thrones and Sherlock as a start. I also have some of my favorite cards hanging up and easy access to my most used tools.
My second station is what I’ve deemed my messy station. This is where I do my Distress Inking, Watercoloring, and Mixed Media. I’m a little silly about my paints and inks and glitters and WAHH! So many fun things to play with. It can get overwhelming sometimes I’ve got my dies up on the wall on a magnetic knife holder I got from Ikea and below it is my trusty Raskog cart (which every crafter should have) and on the other side is my favorite article of clothing. My wedding dress. I’m still in love with it and love looking at it whenever I’m in there. One day I want a fancy mannequin to put it on!
In between is my main storage cabinet. Along the top shelf is where I keep my scraps, though I honestly need a better solution, but I haven’t thought of one yet. My stamps are all below that and then on the next shelf are my 6×6 papers and other odds and ends like sequins and envelopes. At the bottom I have ribbon, my Big Shot and some other little bits. And then to the left is my nail polish frame…because I’m an insane person.
And this is how I store my Some Odd Girl stamps. I find it super easy to flip through them this way and there is a little basket inside that holds all the little bitty ones.
So, that’s my space! I hope you enjoyed seeing a snippet of where I work and do my Odd thing! Give us some of your own crafty storage tips in the comments below!
